Engineered Block Retaining Wall
We installed this 120’ retaining wall with very limited space.
The Basalite Geowall Pro is our preferred block of choice for structural strength. At 80 lbs a piece, paired with 25 tons of clean backfill aggregate, this wall was built to last a lifetime.

Mix of Boulder & Gabion Retaining Wall, Large Precast Stairs, Planting & Landscape Lighting
Over 50 tons of base, boulder, and our signature Permeable Chip into this project. The gabion basket sections of the retaining wall are both aesthetic and funcitonal allowing us to use small rocks that would otherwise be considered waste. Gabions shed water extremely well and are an engineered retaining wall system renowned for its strength.
Overall the combination of natural products came together to create a very functional and beautiful space.

The existing wood retaining wall had reached the end of its useful life and was failing. We were able to source these beautiful boulders to match the color tones of the existing concrete. We delicately demoed and then constructed a single course boulder wall up top and a double stack down below with proper backfill and drainage.
Finished the project with planting a lantana and creeping juniper to cascade over the wall.

A fresh thin bladed tall fescue install. The existing sod was well rooted from a liquid amber tree that had fallen the year before. We excavated the stump, roots, and existing grass, floated top soil, and installed fresh new sod.

Efficient, reliable irrigation system with simple landscape lighting and drought tolerant sod were key in this modern inspired landscape.
We used golden river rock between the poured-in-place walkway and a golden chip to create a lovely, permeable garden area.

Our goal was to balance this synthetic putting green with other natural materials to combine the feel of nature with the ease of maintenance of artificial turf.
Key elements of this project included custom wood work, hand selecting large format flagstone, well thought out drainage, irrigation, and a complete landscape lighting system to give an amazing aesthetic feel.
